Shane & Kathi Temple

Both Shane and Myself (Kathi) were raised in Fernie B.C. We met at our local church youth program and were married in 1995. It has been a true blessing to raise our two children Chad 7 and Devin Marie 5 in our own home town on Shane’s family farm. Our hobbies involve anything outside, which includes Shane’s motorized toys, hobby farming and being involved with our local church. We have led Fernie Christian Youth Group (FCYG) since 1996. We are passionate about our Creator and His Son Jesus Christ. Our vision is that this generation will know His love, blessings and unchanging truths.

Over the years we have had many Christians encourage and help us in this vision - including those in the youth group who matured into young adults.

about the program

FCYG is non-denominational, providing an open invitation to all High School students. Currently we are supported by the Fernie Fellowship Baptist Church as well as our own church family - Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle.

The youth group meets each Friday night, enjoying a variety of games, bible studies, music, & fundraising. Special Events include a Fall Retreat, Spring Break Missions, Youth Convention-Edmonton, and a pre-summer camp out.
